Samsung sgh x460, PIMS and File Manager set to offline

I have a samsung sgh x460 mobile phone and use PIMS and File Manager to upload my phones data etc and to upload and import export phtos ringtones etc...however when i connect the usb cable to the computer and my phona and open the program it says it is in offline mode and that the com port isnt working. when i try to install the usb hard ware its says there is none and i need a new usb driver. can any on please please please help me???

Hello I have kind a same problem! I have Samsung SGH X620! I have bought PIMS and File Manager with USB cable from Internet! I have instaled PIMS and USB drivers! When I start the program it says that: Cannot open port and this program is switched in offline mode! After, try to switch in online. Can you please tell me what shell I do. i av the same problem wiv file manager going to the offline mode all the time ive downloaded all the programmes in the cd and followed it step by step and still it goes in offline mode ive changed all the ports and still the same not sure wot else is ther??ive got the samsung E350 . thx my email is [email protected]

Guys... Select 152000 port in Easy Studio -> Setup and proper com port. it will work..

hi there,

what cable data brand and model did you have?
If you buy Mobile Action or otherbrand cable data, usually they include file manager software at their bundled cd.

Samsung have their own file manager call Easy Gprs or Easy Link, it depend on your handset model.

I seem to have exactly the same problem.
I don't know if you installed the USB cable driver, and already tried selecting the proper port in the Samsung software.
To determinate if the cable driver is properly installed and which COM port it has asigned, right click on my computer (in your desktop or the start menu), click on properties, go to the hardware tab, click on the device manager button, expand the ports thingy, and look up for USB data cable or something similar from the device list. Find out the COM port then go to the samsung software and select that port from the list in the configuration window. Close and re start the program (or press F3, don't know if it works in all versions of the software)
I really hope it doesn't works, because then it's a problem of the software and not of my own phone!!! Anyway post here your results so I can tell.
