and always try to keep backups of your files just in case of accidental deletion

you need to go to youtube and look up the r4 files required to run r4, you need to choose what system you will use when using the card as you dont simply just drag games in to the card directory you actually need the operating files as well for the card or it will not recognise it. hope this helps, tim

you dont say if you have the r4 softwear loaded on the sd card if not try the r4 website and download the correct softwear for your card,you should then be able to open the games you have downloaded,hope this helps

with your r4 card it may read like how it reads dvd's with a ds its like a region code. depending on what region your ds is and what ever region the r4 card is you dont get anything if they are totally different. some r4 cards usually correspond to the proper region code or close enough to it. if thats isnt the case then you have a problem with the ds card slot... i hope this was of some use :3

because normal R4 cards dont play SDHC sd cards :/

First get the R4 OS installed onto the card (into the root dir), then make a sub directory called NDS. Put your .NDS files into that directory. you should now have a couple of sub dirs, NDS, Moonshl2, and r4iMenu or something similar. and some r4 OS files in the root directory.

R4 should boot, then pick the left icon (games) and load a game from the resulting list.

Yes you must extract the files. It won't play from a zip file. all files must end in .NDS for them to work. There are a lot of cool homebrew out there for these cards, have fun.

ok look up roms for the games but i dont how to work ds games which most people ask for. i have heard of a way to hack the capabilites of the ds with two cards one the PASSME card which is the ds carttridge and then the micro sd card slot that is the GBA slot on the bottom.

Super Nintendo games and any games before need emulators.. and the emulators need to be patched before they play.

ok here we go!!!!!!rusty on this!!! so ur card is working but games no.. well if ur emulators are not pacthed they wont start so patching the emulators [or programs like ultra thing] will make sure its runs on ur R4 and make sure you download files for R4. here are the files and sites

extract the file ok get the dlltool32.exe file and drop it in a folder on your desktop and put the file for your R4 in the folder to and the emulator also then run program dlltool32.exe and chose the patch file you downloaded and the emulator file and run it! it should say patch success and now set the emulator and any files it came with and add games in the card and run it should work

Well just to let you know that R4 is an unofficial product for the DS and so it can sometimes have problems or drawbacks. Chances are when you save the files onto it your micro sd card reader is not corresponding correctly so you may want to either get it checked out or read the instructions and if there is anything you dont understand post it on here. .SAV files are basically save files placed onto the card which just allows it to be ran on the DS. To format any drive just insert the memory, right click over your memory drive in My PC window, and there should be an option to Format this drive, formatting will erase all the card contents so make a backup in your computer first.

When you click on "format" a window will appear to chose FAT or FAT32 (try FAT32 first then if not working try FAT), dont have to do nothing on the size option, write a label for the drive if you want, not needed, let Quick Format clear, click on start button and you'll see a proccess bar, when it finish it tell you and you have a formatted drive.

Put the sistem files and one rom to test again in the memory, test it on your DS. Be sure you have the right files for your card, the www.R4ds.cn site only supports R4 cards, not R4 III, R4 SDHC or any fake non R4 hardware.
