When i run my hot water it doesnt get hot at all.

Absolutely no hot water indicates the top element or thermostat on the heater. Check to make sure that you have 240 volts on the top two terminals of the top thermostat. If you do then check the top element for voltage. It should also read 240 volts between the two screws. If you have 240 volts there shut off the power, drain the heater to a point below the top element and change the top element. When the element is installed turn your WATER back on and let the air bleed out of several hot faucets in the house. When the faucets stop spitting air you can turn them off. Check for leaks around the element. If you have no leaks turn the power back on the the heater and replace the covers.

That should get you 'back in hot water' in two hours.

Water heater can be added to any incoming water line, either on hot or cold.

Under-counter water heater located near tub will supply hot water just like ordinary household water heater. But it will not reheat water that circulates inside the spa tub.
Otherwise, a spa heater is made with electric element that can work with 120V or 240V. Water from tub circulates through tank that holds element. Element must be fully immersed in water.
To retrofit spa tub with this heater would require cutting water line near pump, running both ends of water line into tank with element.
Then of course you would need to retrofit adjustable thermostat to control when element is on. And integrate element operation into air control switch at tub that can override thermostat so element is not heating when tub is not in use.
Unless there is a pre-packaged kit to retrofit heater, I think adding heater would be difficult.

Heater wont start. I replaced the pressure witch, doesnt work, I by passed the pressure switch and put the red and blue wire together and it will run until it gets hot. I remove conected wire and...

Is this a tankless or tank-type water heater?
If tank-type, what gas valve is on the heater?

We have a bosch tankless water heater in a 1600 sq ft home...it works great except in one faucet (the spare bathroom sink)...sometimes the hot water comes out, sometimes it doesnt, sometimes it takes...
Since you have hot water at all the other fixtures, the problem lies in the sink, not the water heater. It could be that the sink is farther away from the water heater than the other fixtures. It would take longer to get hot water.

Both upper and lower heating elements are working and both thermostats have been changed but Im still having problems where my hot water doesnt last very long. Could my dip tube be my problem, and if so...
before going to far on this. drain water out of tank untill it runs clear. there may be a build up of sediment in the tank. try this first. shut off cold water to tank.

  • The cold water line should have a shut off valve on it. If it does, turn it off. If it doesn't, you may have to turn off the water at your regulator or at the street.

  • On the bottom of the water heater, there should be a hose bib. Attach your water hose to the bib and run the other end to a drainage site of your choosing. Open the hose bib and allow the water to drain out. when done flushing it turn on cold water and let sit for a while to build up the hot water.

    • If your water heater is gas fired, turn off the gas valve at the water heater locaton. If it is electric, turn off the breaker controlling the water heater. before draining. have a nice day !!

    Water gets hot but runs out faster than before always had plenty of hot water before but now it doesnt last its a GE40T6A GE 40 gal it has 2 heat elements, one to the top, one to the bottom
    Inlet tube may be broken off. This makes sure that cold water entering the water heater goes to the bottom and doesn't go directly out the hot side when the water is drawn from the heater.

    The hot water will not come on intermitently. I
    if your on a private well, it sounds as though your loosing enough water pressure to shut the heater off,.(which is right before the water pump comes on),....tankless heaters turn on by sensing water flow, and of course off when flo stops,......water pressure tanks often need to be re-charged with air for pressure to stay even,....does your water pressure fluctuate?

    I'd initially check for a cross connection (cold water leaking into hot water system). This can be done by shutting off the cold water feed to the tankless unit, then opening up hot water fixtures around the home. You should see the water come to a complete stop; if you see a steady stream of water, then you have a cross connection. The most common place for a cross connection is at single handled showers. The valve cartridge starts to fail over time.
