HP PSC 1500 series
If you are using Vista, try clicking the right button of the mouse on installer file and chose "Run as Administrator".
If you are using XP, log in as administrator, or with administrator privileges.

I did right click as administrator and it stops after the section of installing full or express and tells me that I am not an administrator. On the CD it doesn't have VISTA as one of the operating systems. I'm using VISTA, 64 bit and just want the HP software, the drivers install fine.
Same problem. Logged in as Adminstrator on Windows XP. Installation doesn't complete. Error log reads "need to be logged in as administrator." Great..
