Two days ago I was taking photos of a house for listing a property. Two days later, the camera isn't functioning properly. When you look through the LCD display, all images are blurry or streaked as if quickly moving the camera. It is as if the focus isn't working anymore, I'm not sure. Please let me know if you can assist, thank you very much.
Good Day, is the blurry picture pinkish in color? It might be an imager(CCD) problem, you can check it at sony support website, if it qualifies, just read the provisions, I will not comment on the policy, maybe it differ from country to country, i'm here in the philippines. thanks

You can download the manual here. Admittedly, the Vivitar site sometimes has problems, but I just successfully downloaded the full manual minutes ago. If you still can't get it, try again the next day.
Thanks for your question.I caught your problem. Before some days ago i face the same trouble. don't too much worry for it. it has happened for your camera Ribon that means "connector cable" between your lens and circuit. it definitely lick or damage. As a result, you face the problem. If you change the connector then your camera become ok. thanks.
It sounds like a part of your electronic system shorted. It's unusual anything works at all.
THe front and back housing fit together like a **** shell. After you have removed all the screws gently pry a thin blade between the halves and start seperating them little by little. You have to be careful since quiete often there are buttons and/or contacts that may fall out when you do the separation. You may want to try and pry off the front cover first (fewer buttons).
There is no real loss trying it, any repair (by a shop) would likely cost more then replacing the camera.
Did you try calling Canon tech support or returning to retailer if the camera is really not functioning properly this soon after purchase, I'd try returning it once all troubleshooting issues have not resolved the issue.
I have Fuji FinePix 2650 Digital camera with same problem. I can almost guarantee this is not a firmware problem. I went mountain biking a few months ago and take pictures. I take out camera and turn on. I get lines then white screen. I banged on camera and fixed it. Later a few weeks ago I turn it on and white screen. i beat this thing and get bad menu selection screen for a moment then white again. It takes pictures well and talk to computer no problem but no LCD picture. I thinking it is loose connection for LCD. Send it for repair or if you seek adventure try to fix it yourself!
