Photosmart D7160 - No lights - Won't turn on.

I have a Photosmart D7160 that was telling me to replace an ink cartridge.. I never got to it. Now it will not power up - no lights. I pulled the power plug to "reset" it - the lights came back on and it allowed me to print in black only. Now, even by cycling the power, there are no lights at all - will not power up... Any suggestions????

I keep getting ink system failure on my d7160 printer

Turn off the machine using the power button, unplug the power cord from the back of the machine, remove the ink cartridges, wait 2 min, press the power button to turn on the machine, wait until the printer prompts that the ink cartridges are missing, then reinstall the ink cartridges. If this doesn't fix the problem you may have to re-prime ink through the system. There is a good explanation of how to do this at http://www.ccl-la.com/blog/index.php/hp-photosmart-ink-system-failure-1/.
