SOURCE: HDMI conection

Hi.
Connect the Home cinema and the TV with the HDMI cable. When you turn it on, first turn on the TV and then the home cinema. I hope this works.

What is the best lcd tv (Samsung or LG) 42 inch ? And what is the differences?

Samsung LED Tv is cheaper and is more vibrant forget the LCD models they run hot anyway. the link below are the top selling models here in Australia LED TV is either 40' inch or 48'' why?....as most newer models now has the correct 16:9 1920x2160p screen ratio as compared to the previous 1360x768 old (35mm Cinema screen aspect widescreen size) ie: no more black cropped DVD movies watching on a widescreen Tv check the link and compare the prices and model number of the best of the best on LED TV's here >> http://loadedtrolley.com.au/costco-australia-price-lists/costco-australia-television-price-list/ but, i would take yourself down to a store as only you can judge for yourself in what your eyes tell you....;but i repeat....LED TV is the way to go Not LCD !!!

Samsung Tv flipped upside down

Most Projector tvs usually have a mode for hanging them from the ceiling, as well as a shelf top.
Go to menu, settings, and then ceiling.
This option will convert the picture to project upside down.

Happy owner of Pioneer DV 360. However it can only produce a black/white screen also without DVD inside. . Cables checked ok Thanks for your assistance Karsten Denmark

The problem was the TV ( Samsung CB 5073 T). One or more connections on the AV plug in the TV had disconnected from the soldering and was repaired. The DVD was fine all the time.
Thanks again for your assistance

Pink display

It seems the DV-S5950 has an incompatability with HDMI through Samsung TV's.

I work for an electronics store in Australia, and had same problem when running this DVD player on my Samsung KA40A650.

I tried it on my brothers LA40M51 and the same thing happened. Tried it at work on the A650 display model and same thing again. Then I tried it on the LG LCD that was next to it, and no problems. Also tried the DV-S5950 display model at work and it did the same thing.

It's not a general Yamaha issue, as we bought a new (higher model) Yamaha DVD player and it worked perfectly fine. I also tested the cables, and it wasn't them either.

It seems that that specific model of DVD player from yamaha just doesn't like the HDMI inputs on Samsung TVs...
