Problem with pen/software on Gateway M280E

When I try to use the pen in inking on microsoft word, or especially ppt. the cursor is exceptionally JUMPY when trying to use the pen on the screen. It is unusable. Those functions work fine, however when using the mouse or the touchpad. I have downloaded the most current software from gateway to try and correct the problem, but nothing seems to help. Also I have many classmates who also use the same computer, and have tried several different pens with no improvement.

How do I install a keyboard in a Gateway M280E Tablet? (Directions with pictures a plus, but not absolutely needed.)

Power off and remove battery. Remove 2 screws on back cover marked with a K. Open display, gently pry off long thin silver panel between display and keyboard. With fingers at top of keyboard, pull up and flip top over toward ypu, then lay flat and upside down. Disconnect flat cable and remove the keyboard. Reverse steps to replace.

The stylus for my gateway m280e is unresponsive, it is able to track the cursor across the screen but it can not select anything when double tapped, or write in one note? What could be the issue?

You can change the way the cursor functions. Here is how. From the "Start Menu", select Control Panel in the (right pane), next select Hardware and Sound, select, the "Mouse". In the Mouse, "Properties" (window) change mouse functions. "I hope this "Fix it"

Hi i like to install xp profecianal on my laptop m280e i have on it xp7 tablet ther any probleme to install xp profecianal please responce

XP professional will not work on that unit. The OS will install and work properly but you will lose many of your tablet functions. You have to have the tablet pc edition for all comonents to function. You would not gain anything by going to Pro, and your Windows or Microsoft update will keep your current tablet pc edition updated properly.
