I bought a resetter and it works fine. However the exact instructions for injecting the ink into the TO611 cartridge are elusive - can you recommend a foolproof site

Epson cartridges can be refilled, but most need an actual "resetter" to make them work again. Sorry is problem with epson. Check this website for details; http://www.misterinkjet.com/epson_resetter_instructions.htm Don't automatically buy anything from those guys though until you have asked them if their resetter will work on your cartridge. There are others if you aren't happy with what they offer - please ask again. But yes, in answer to your question you can refill them - resetting them so the computer and printer recognise them as refilled is a little harder. If you feel sufficiently annoyed by Epson for unnecessarily doing this to waste money and destroy the environment, then please feel free to contact them and tell them on this link; http://www.epson.com/ Otherwise please show your annoyance by never buying an epson product again. It's a shame considering their products are actually quite good otherwise. Most, but not all other manufacturers allow you to just refill their cartridges. Hope this helps :)

Would using refill cartridges be the problem with it not printing

Refilling can be messy. Some printers will not register ink levels unless they are provided by that company. Using less expensive carts from most resellers will work when NEW. Some carts have a small electronic switch that tells the printer its ok to use, and some remain open and will not talk to the printer even if they are full. The Government filed a suite against printer mfg. to stop them from making their printers utilize proprietary ink carts. Thus you can use any available cartridges you wish. The only problem, the printer may not tell you the ink levels.

How to refill black ink in my printer EPSON STYLUS C45,please help me guys!

The C45 uses an ink cartridge, if you're brave you can buy refills cheap, then replace the printer when it quits working. This model (and most) doesn't tolerate cheap ink well.

My printer doesn't recognise the new refill; and i can't seem to overide it to print. I tried a cheaper refill and then bought a genuine epson and it still doesn't recognise the replacement cartridge. ...

If this printer takes the Epson 69 cartridge you need to make sure the chip is replaced or reset on the refills you buy. I own a Cartridge World ink refilling store and I can't fill these cartridges yet because there are not replacement chips (that don't violate Epson patents) or a resetter for the chip. The chip communicates with the printer how much ink it thinks is left in the cartridge so you don't run it dry and ruin your printer. Once the chip says the cartridge is empty it will refuse to print until the chip is reset. It seems to me like you bought two refill sets from sellers that are scamming the consumer by not mentioning the chip problem. This is the main reason why I don't recommend internet refills is because it is really easy to take advantage of people. I would not buy refills until a reputable store like Cartridge World or Office Depot sells refills.

Did a black print cartridge refill at Costco. It

You used one of the worst refill services available. There's a reason they have a flat rate for refills, they use non cartridge specific inks, don't clean out the cartridge, and have a machine not a person do the thinking and the work for them. You will have similar failure on cartridges refilled by Walgreens, Office Max, and cheap online refills. I suggest Cartridge World first then Office Depot for refills. They have high quality standards and recycle your cartridges by refilling them.

Ink cartridge refill

You can't refill these cartridges yourself. Sure you can get ink and inject it in, but your printer remembers the serial number of each cartridge and how many pages you've printed with it. Because it remembers this information it turns off the cartridge electronics to prevent the use of refills. I would try to get refills for the black but not the color cartridge. I own a Cartridge World ink refilling store and we have a high return rate on the color cartridges. It seems the printers are extremely finicky about color refills. If you get a black refill and your printer won't print with it, exchange it for another one because you happened to get a cartridge with the same serial number as the last one you had. I recommend Cartridge World refills, then Office Depot brand refills.

Printer ink cartridges contain ink but printer says not!

The chip on the cartridge tells the printer how much ink is left in the cartridge. If the chip says the cartridge is empty, it won't print no matter how much ink is left. That said I think you got refills that didn't get the chips reset or compatibles (non-Epson brand cartridge body) with poorly made chips that expired before they should have. You need to have all the cartridges installed with functioning chips to use your printer. You need to buy new cartridges of the ones your printer thinks are empty. I recommend Cartridge World for refills because they make a quality product that doesn't have these kind of "novice" refiller problems. I would never buy refills or compatibles off the internet because you get what you pay for.

Bought wrong ink

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but no...

The DX4200 uses:
Black T0611
Cyan T0612
Magenta T0613
Yellow T0614

... while the DX4400 uses:
Black T0711
Yellow T0714
Magenta T0713
Cyan T0712

Best bet is to eBay them or find someone who wants to trade.

Hope that helps.

Lexmark 5070 printer

Hard to tell...There are other issues which could contribute related to the printer itself, etc.

But I will say in my experience often refill kits for ink cartridges don't work if you allow them the cartridge to run bone dry. Maybe the internal components become hard and won't re saturate with new ink, not sure. If new cartridges work; and the refills don't I'd say there may be a problem with them.

Black Won't print on my 1290

I have had these issues before (that's why I never use refill carts anymore: false economy) You'll just have to keep running the clean cycle until it goes through. This may take several tries, and will waste tons of ink - hence the false economy of refills!
