There is small switch under the battery lid near by the battery. Use a tooth stick to press the switch down and turn on the unit. If the unit won’t turn on you need a new main board.

My flip phone was put in washer. set in rice for 24 hrs. turned back on. display light & battery were low so charged. says use genuine battery power off. using battery that came with it. please help

Replace the battery it has probably shorted internally. You are lucky it worked at all. It is unlikely to work properly in the future, as faults will develop. I didn't know they still made flip phones.

Canon camera is 5 years old. Eventhough battery is fully charged, the display continues to say ..CHARGE BATTERY..... now camera is totally dead .... and no display text telling you to charge batteries

Try this trick. Pull battery and put camera in a zip lock bag and into freezer overnight. Take out and install charged battery and see if there is any change. This worked with a Go-pro I had, unbelievable! Capacitors get old and dry out and these sometimes affect the charge circuit as well as batteries getting old too. Li-po batteries (yours) get old if you use them or not so it may just be an expired battery.

N 70 blank display solution plz

Not a lot to go on.

If the display shows up when you hold the shutter release down halfway, then the internal battery has drained. This battery-different from the EN-EL3 that serves as the main battery-runs the clock and keeps your settings while the main battery is removed. You may be able to recharge it by putting a fully-charged main battery into the camera and leaving it alone for three days. (This is in your manual.) After three days have passed, turn the camera on. Both displays should work like normal, and it should prompt you to set the clock.

With fully charged battery 5D has power but will not take shots

This sounds like your release switch is faulty. I have repaired several of these 5D cameras with similar strange symptoms. Basically what happens is the first switch on you release assembly cracks and breaks thus making continuous contact. When this happens it basically locks up your camera. The solution is to replace the release switch assembly. The repair should not cost you more than $150.
Hope this helps.
