I have a boss cx-3500 amplif & and a rockford p2 15 inch sub & not much punch what can i do to have more punch

mess around with the frequency on the amp till you get a good heavy loud sound and turn up the bass more and make sure the speaker cables are in the correct ports if one is in the other the wrong way around it wont give out as good quality or bass

My Altec Lansing VS4121 played excellent sound, even at high volume untill recently. A friend had borrowed them for weeks and I got them back recently. Played music to find out that sound of main woofer...

Hi there,
I think that some wirings inside the main woofer or the tray holding it might have loosed. It could be the speakers were accidentally dropped or anything.
You can bring it to a local store Best Buy, Staples, etc. have it checked by one of them technicians or to see if it can be put back to it's place. I'm no speakers expert but that's the only reason I could think of.
If you are comfortable opening the speaker covers and checking inside the speakers then you can also try to check for some loose parts.
Hope this helps!

Rockford p8002 keeps pulseing. (not a ground problem)

for seeing a out of phaze speaker you would have to run like a 10 hz or lower signal to the amp you might be seeing a optical illusion if they were out of phaze or backwards the speaker would have cancled each other out so it would sound like **** as you said.but anyway it sounds like the amps power supply is bad.put it back in you car and see if it still works like it did befor you put it in your friends car.you may have burned it up.find out how much the amp is worth and if can have it fixed for less then 60% of orignal cost then have it fixed

Why put woofer on the floor?

Because low frequency sound travels better lower to the ground. The effect if placed high up would be minimal

LF sound has more punch that regular speaker sound, it also caused more speaker movement and if placed high up could in theory pull itself from the shelf or mount.

You tube has some sub sound tests you could use to show this theory. or maybe the candle trick of putting a lighted candle in front of a sub when turned up a bit may convince you.

put a candle about 6 inch away from a sub and play some nice bass it will blow out the candle more than a regular speaker

Triple Play has good picture, but sound is a loud hum

if you dont have sound in the internal speakers ,or headphone jack if it has one ,try the audio outs to a surround system,if thats what you are using allready, replace the audio cord ,or try a diffrent surround system, most likely if no sound anywhere, the audio output transistor on the main board is toast, panasonic may sell you a schematic,10 bucks or so ,but you will still have to locate it on the board and replace it ,involves soldering, and tech skills,,if you or a friend have these skills it would be worth a shot,if not send for repair,or maybe think about a new tv,the repair could cost as much as the tv depending where you bring it,good luck i hope this helps you aloha from maui todd0708

Multi amp hook-up

honestly i dont think those to amps will push cvxs no matter how you wire them up.
the rms on the 200 should be used to push a door speaker.
the 800watt should deff just be hooked to 1 cvx but still wont max it out.

Koss KS3102 System

I had a similar problem. Believe it or not, I randomly switched which ports the speaker wires used to connect to the receiver and kept playing with it with music going until all the speakers were making noise.
