best buy carries universal ones for this model. foraround 10 dollars hope this answers your question if so thumb me up lol

NEED INSTRUCTION/OWNER MANUAL

Uniden has been out of the radar detector business for some time now. I would strongly suggest getting a different radar detector instead of using this older model since newer radar detector models generally have far better performance -- especially for detecting Ka band radar.

Anyway, Uniden's web site does not list an instruction manual for this particular radar detector model. Yet, take a look at the instruction manual for the most similarly numbered product model shown in the following link:

Uniden Owners Manuals -- Radar Detectors

One of the instruction manuals in the above link should be similar enough to your radar detector so that you can figure out everything regarding your specific Uniden RD model.

I just received a whistler 1788 laser radar dectector. how do i use it? set it?

install the windshield bracket, install the batteries, slide the unit onto the bracket and turn it on. For using the other features, it is very detailed in the owner's manual.

Problem with Uniden GPSRD I have a uniden GPSRD radar detector that does not detect any of the bands (X, K, Ka, Laser, etc). GPS works great, no problem. I bought this detector form ebay a couple years ago, but never used it until lately. Why doesn't this detector pick up bands? Where can I send for repairs, if needed? How can I contact the mfg?
