Question about Bosch Exxcel WVT 2850 Front Load Washer / Dryer
I am getting an error message E06 from the Bosch Exxcel. E-nr:vwt2850GB/02 FD:8411 I have drained the pump and little black hose from the bottom of the panel twice. After the first attempt it successfully did a complete drain and spin for 15 minutes with no problems. But then again, there was no water to drain. I thought all was fixed (hoped) and started a new wash, but it got half way through and stopped again. I did lose a bra wire, which I heard struggling around my drum but I thought it had worked its way free. I can't find it poking out of the drum. I am assuming that it was this that has caused the major problem and not the 50p and 2p I found on the first attemp at the clean out of the pump. Is it time for a specialist to visit? Please advise.
Had the same thing. Managed to sort it out by checking a few things and getting my hands dirty.
First things first: Remove the rectangular fascia at the bottom front of the machine - on my model you only need a coin to turn the two plastic screws. Unclip the black rubber drain pipe, remove the plug from the end and drain the water into a bowl (or several bowls).
Then undo the round plug at the bottom left of the machine (more water will come out) which will give you access to the extractor pump. Check that there are no obstructions in there and that the small propeller in there can turn freely.
If there is no obstruction there then we move onto the next steps.
If you can figure out how to remove the front of the machine then you will find this part easier - I couldn't so I ended up reaching in from the back.
First, TURN OFF THE POWER. Then, on the front of the machine, on the bottom left, undo the screws that fasten the extractor pump onto the front of the machine. Then pull the machine out from the wall so that you can get to the back of it. Remove the back of the machine by taking out the ten or so screws.
Looking in from the back: At the bottom-front-right of the machine you will see the extractor pump. It will have two hoses attached to it - a fat one and a slightly thinner one. Reach into the bottom of the machine and remove the power plug from the back of the extractor pump. Then, using a pair of pliers (or something similar) to open the spring clip, remove the thinner of the two hoses (the drain hose) from the pump unit. This can be fiddly - especially if you're doing it from the back of the machine.
Pull the hose out of the machine and check it for obstructions. If there are no obstructions in there then move onto the next step.
Reach back into the machine and, again using the pliers, remove the fatter tube from the pump. Remove the pump from the machine and check it for obstructions in the entry and exit holes, and also make sure that the propeller isn't obstructed. Then shake and squeeze the fatter tube to see if there is an obstruction in there (I had about five quids worth of change stuck in there which was where my issue was located).
If you've found no obstruction by now I'm afraid that I'm stumped :-(
Best of luck.

Remove the hose that goes from the drum to the drain pump and you may find the bra wire jamming the pump. Switch off and unplug machine first.
