I do not have the software to install, but also can't find a copy. Is there any way to possibly ping the system and set it up another way?

Have a friend who just got a new HP laptop, with Windows Vista, and he can't find his installation CD for the old Lexmark Z33 printer. Anywhere/way I can download the right driver(s) for him, or does he just need to get a new printer? Thanks. Mike

I have purchased a new laptop with windows 7 but am have difficulty loading software for my z33 printer from original cd

I need printer drivers for my lexmark Z33 printer to work on windows 7

i am pretty sure that this driver is compatable with windows 7. I did a search and it looks like you should just be able to plug it into your computer and windows 7 should install it.

Do not download driver detective, download the original driver from Lexmark website below.

Also, instead of double clicking on driver installer after downloading, click right mouse button and chose "Run as administrator".

If you do not have the disk you must download the software from Internet, follow instructions below,

Click here:Official Lexmark Drivers and Software

A web page will open, follow instructions, select model, select operative system etc., and click on download .
Chose to download the file in my documents when asked.
After downloading, find the file,double click on the file ,then if you get in troubles, follow the instructions below to reset and reinstall drivers:

Unplug printer USB.
Go to control panel >> installed printers in Windows and remove (delete ) any installed printer from printer list.
Download driver from website, or use the disk and run the install file.
Follow driver installation wizard.
Plug back printer when prompted from installation wizard.

You can download the driver here, directly from Lexmark:

Select Windows XP from the list, and download.

Be sure to UNPLUG the printer from the PC before installing. ONLY plug it in once the on-screen instructions tell you to do so.
