The left-click on my mouse has suddenly become very inconsistent. The left-click can still click things but sometimes if you move the mouse away from something it will immediately try to drag it whether it be a tab, link, etc. The click-lock function is not on and my right click is fine. the model is DX-WMSE

SOURCE: Logitech mouse doesn't respond to my clicks

Even though it does not make sense, if you are using a wireless keyboard that is part of a combo pack (mouse included) sometimes (some brands) you have to plug in all cords on the keyboard/mouse receiver.

SOURCE: will not open on click; have to right click and

go into control panel and click on "mouse" to check your settings. You can set your mouse to several different combinations on what it does upon right-click or left-click..see if your settings are correct. If you have any questions let me know.

Cannot ee startup menu

Sometimes it gets minimized to just a single row of pixels. Try moving your mouse to the center of each screen edge in turn, and seeing if the mouse changes from the standard cursor to a sort of double-arrow cursor. If so, hold it there, click and hold the left mouse button, and drag away from the edge of the screen, letting go of the mouse button when you have the start bar where you want it.

Unstable, jittery cursor

Lets give this a try: Click the Start button> click Control Panel> click Hardware> and then click Mouse. Click the Pointer Options tab, and then do the following: Uncheck the Hide pointer while typing box. Hope this helps you. Let us know either way. Make it a great day!

All of a sudden my system will hang with nothing function... not even ctrl+alt+del... mouse is also not working... since having no idea, I have to restart it again and again... This will happen...

This sounds more like a hard drive problem than motherboard. Try this FREE program called Mydefrag click the link. This program works different than the std. windows version. It can move files from a dead spot on the HD to a healthy spot and prolong the loss of your stuff. I would suggest you start moving files to another HD keep things you want or need. Hope this helps FixYA up.

Loss of control over my mouse.

Hi Arsenal,

My Logitech cordless occasionally does the same thing. On mine it was caused by a build up of gunk over the optical sensor. Once I cleaned it, it functioned normally.

I know it doesn't make sense as far as the buttons. I'm just sharing what worked for me. Hope it works for you.

Best regards
Mike

if your mouse is new then you can ask for a replacement but if its not its sometimes just need cleaning. open the lid of the scroll wheel then take the ball you can see inside if all the wheels inside are clean...if its not just use cotton buds then remove the dirt. hope itll help

USB mouse is jittery

Try the mouse on a different surface, also be sure you do not have any light directed at the mouse - this confuses the eye. Although no mouse pad is required for an optical mouse, sometimes it helps

Mouse inconsistent

Other than checking with the manufacturer for updated drivers or known issues - or attempting to roll-back the driver if a new one has been installed recently, I can't think of anything, seems to be a sticking button or otherwise faulty mouse.

Sticky mouse

Search for out other postings here at FixYa. The sticky situation is one I had, but it was the actual wear inside the mouse buttons to microswitch contacts. I would have to click numerous times to get my mouse to function. The plastic pads get worn after some intense use. Check for our solutions here in other postings.
