    ive tried to set the clock and hit ok and cancel and turn the camera off and when i turn the camera back on the screen is clock setting again like i never even set it.

  • Anonymous Apr 07, 2009

    your right i set the date format and time and my only option is to hit ok next. then i can proceed to use the camera. question is after i shut off the camera and turn it back on to use it again the first thing that pops up is clock setting again. i can set the date/time hit ok then turn camera off then back on again and the clock setting is back up like i never even set the time. is there a way that i can hold the setting so im not setting the time/date every time i turn the camera on?

If you set current time in clock set, it will not asked you again. I think you just cancel it when clock set display appears.

  • Anonymous Apr 05, 2009

    when clock screen comes, select date format like D/M/Y or M/D/Y etc then go to date setup, set current date then set time and at end you will reach OK button, press OK and job is done. There is no way to press cancel button in this sequence.
    When you press cancel button that means you are not setting date/time and camera will show this screen again when you power it up.

    Yes,
    When Lithium Rechargeable Battery got defective or dead then camera will not hold time and date settings.
    Qualified camera tech will replace that battery as it is mounted on flexible board under top jog dial portion.

Camera want flash sony dsc-h3

If it flashes when you take any photo then you have the flash set to manual override for each shot or you're just shooting in areas too dark for any photos without the flash. Check your flash settings or try a factory default reset from the camera's menu options.

It keeps saying my sony cyber-shot DSC-H3 macro is invalid. what do i need to do to get it working again?

Press the "Home" button, go to "Settings" (last menu item at right), then "Main Settings", and use the "Initialize" button.

And also;
Macro is not available in landscape mode, twilight mode or fireworks mode, if you try to use macro in any of those modes it will say invalid macro.

SONY CYBERSHOT DSC - H3 DIGITAL CAMERA FLASH PROBLEM

Hi Jim,
Have you tried resetting all settings on the camera? On a Sony camera, it is called "initialize". The initialize setting is found by going to the menu, and tabbing down until you find an option called either "reset settings" or "initialize settings" and then confirm it.
Many times that will fix the issue, in case something has either been enabled/disabled on accident, or the software is sticking (which happens from time to time)
