Hi, For those models available with a 2nd paper cassette, the "Check Cassette#2" will appear if the 2nd cassette sensor does not detect the paper cassette. So my thinking is that 1: the cassette is not seated in the printer correctly (not trying to be insulting, but it can happen to anyone) or 2: the sensor that "sees" the cassette is either out of place, or it has dust blocking it. (It could also mean that the sensor itself is bad.) Good Luck.

This is a paper mis-pick error. it may feed the paper just a little onto the roller on the cassette. This usually means the rollers are worn out. 2 of them to change, 1 on the cassette and one inside. They both have blue plastic cores.

Error no paper in cassette adn there is paper in

that means that the LTR (letter) paper is empty...if there is paper in the cassette, then the problem could be an actuator, sensor, or the feed tires are bald and picking up the paper.

Puzzle 007 It sounds as if your chick has died, you must have had more wolves than chicks left together.
Take 2 wolves over --- Take 1 wolf back---- Take 2 wolves over --

Take 1 wolf back -- Take 2 chicks over-- Take 1 wolf 1 chick back

Take 2 chicks over-- Take 1 wolf back-- Take 2 wolves over---

Take 1 wolf back -- Take 2 wolves back.

No dead chicks...........

Canon PIXMA ip4000/paper jammed problem

Tackler- I dont think I have a solution but I know that the cassette should stick out about 5cm i.e. the cover just fits on nicely. I found with mine sometimes it needed a firm (but not hard) push in as obviously some sensor was not being tripped and it would just not pick up the paper in the tray. Have you tried using the top down feed? At least if that works you can print (and you can stack up a couple of pages).
