I do believe that if you go to add or remove programs there should be a tab that has add remove windows components.

uninstall the video driver from Control panel > Add/Remove Programs. Update the XP up to SP3, reboot twice and only then install the latest available video driver if necessary (on older pc's the driver is already in XP and it will be automatically installed.

Remove unused software

if you know the softwares you want to remove, you can go to Add/Remove section in the Control Panel to uninstall them. For Windows Components, go to Add/Remove, click Add/Remove Windows Components, then uncheck the components you want to uninstall.

Network connection lost since sp3

Go to Add/Remove Programs in the control panel.

Next find Service Pack 3 and select "Uninstall"

This will roll your PC back to XP SP2, if you had SP2 installed prior to installing SP3.
See this link from Microsoft:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/936929

Scroll down till you come to "uninstall info for windows service pack 3 release candidate'.
You may have to copy and paste the link into your browser.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

Programs missing from add/remove list

Once you have the "Add or Remove Programs" window open look at the left side and make sure you have "Change or Remove Programs" selected. Also make sure you have the checkbox ticked that says "Show Updates".

As for the other programs in the list without the chage / remove option. You need to first click on the progam in the list to show that option.

About windows setup

Hi niket_shah, sorry but you're board Asus M2N-MX, does support Win XP SP2.
Chances are that while installing windows updates one or more updates failed. People like myself know from repairing PC's which updates need to be installed first. If you're Win XP SP2 did not or would not install than either the Win CD is not a valid Microsoft Win XP SP2 CD or (You have a copy) & there is something wrong with the CD. After a fresh (New install) of Win XP with SP2 there is more than 90+ updates for SP2 which must be downloaded through windows update program. Or you're windows will not function properly.
Just to show you what versions of windows the M2N-MX board does support. Click the link listed below. Once the link loads click the + sign next to Audio. Scroll down the page an notice the different Window version listed for you're board.
http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?modelname=M2N-MX&SLanguage=en-us
To recap this issue. The problem is either the WinCD or possibly you're hard drive. Make sure you allow windows to perform a full format before installing window. (Not a quick format).
