The ice and water in my refrigerator are absolutely GROSS. I would like to change the water filter on my refrigerator but I can't find it on the refrigerator. When I type this model number in I get 0 results. My husband went to Sears and bought a universal filter to replace the one on it. Could you tell me where it is located on the refrigerator and how to replace the filter? Thanks, ljreaney
There is probably an inline filter - it would be located under the ref. between the front connector and the source of the water

I appreciate your inquiry, Michael Dempsey!
From what you have described your Frigidaire refrigerator is not producing ice or water. You have stated that the filter has been changed and valve has been opened, you still do not have water. This could be a potential problem with the water valve or water line. I would recommend performing a manual defrost, it is possible that the line has been frozen, within your refrigerator. In order to defrost it you would need to disconnect power from the refrigerator for four to six hours. I hope this information has been helpful. -Matt
Thank you for your inquiry, Joann siefert!
I see that your Frigidaire refrigerator is making noises and no longer producing ice. Have you attempted to replace your water filter? If your filter is bad that could cause ice to stop producing. I would recommend changing your water filter to see if that would help correct your issue. The noise could be a normal operating noise. If you have your manual you can look inside for normal operating noises. If you need your manual could you please provide me with your model number? You can locate the serial tag (which lists your model number) on the inside wall of your refrigerator. With that information I can further assist you. -Matt
Hey friend, that's a great question!
For our Frigidaire refrigerators the water filter does in fact filter the ice maker too. The water enters your refrigerator from the water valve and then goes into your filter. It is then distributed between your ice maker and water tank. Hope this information has been helpful. -Matt

I don't see a plastic case that holds the filter in the side on the right top. Thanks for the info though.
