My Brother Project Runway sewing machine's foot pedal is not working. No power. Is there a solution?

Need more info? Is the foot pedal plug inserted as far as can go? Sometimes, the plug or jack is simply incompletely inserted. It may look like it's inserted, but it isn't. Turn power off machine. Remove pedal jack from the plug and reinsert fully. Turn machine on. If that doesn't work, have you been using the machine with or without a surge protector? Electronic equipment, including electronic sewing machines, should only be used with a surge protector. Otherwise a power surge can "fry' those delicate electronic components.
3rd. Are you getting any error messages on your display? If you are, those error messages can trigger the machine to shut down until the problem has been identified and corrected. You will need the manual (free on brother.com/support.

Not likely your problem unless you opened your machine.

You might try presser foot lever down with no foot just as a test. If it works without a foot then the optical switch has become misaligned or foreign object

If you are referring to the needle threader, there is a screw on right side to loosen when inserting needle. Tighten it back.

If you are referring to the needle foot, there should be a little flipping switch that releases foot. Place foot in place, lower needle arm and if aligned properly, foot will snap back on/into position.

if the foot pedal is plugged into the sewing machine correctly, then it would be a good idea to have the foot pedal check to see whats wrong with it and they can advise you wether to have it fixed or just replace it
