If you are talking about port 25 go to the help.sbcglobal.net and request it unblocked. Takes about 12-24 hours max. You fill out an abuse request.

Follow the directions here, if the alternate port doesn't work then click the link and follow the directions.

Go to control panel Then go to administrative tools---> service------> and make ur setting related to COM as automatically start. Or Right-Click My Computer->Properties->Hardware->Device Manager->Ports->Right Click on the port which is blocked->And set its property to enable.

Netflix will not work

Hi ...Please give us some more information about your issues.

1-this is an internal issues
2-this is an outside issues
1:
try to check it from website and see if you can access your account and your content on Netflix Website.

if you don't then go to Number 2 Section. if yes then try the Netflix app from other devices like another mobile device or tv or computer apps

if you have Netflix on other devices:
then check the app or device for connectivity issues maybe VPN or proxy has been set and blocking the Netflix.

you do not have it on other devices either:
maybe your internet modem/router is blocking some ports via its built in firewall or your antivirus/firewall software blocking Netflix ports or...( try to open Netflix port on modem/router settings or ask an expert guy, try to temporary disable the antivirus software or firewall software )

2:
try to call your ISP (internet service provider and ask about the blocking ports or website)
try to call Netflix support for your account and probable account blocking issues

HOW DO i BLOCK PORT 80

Port 80 is the web port. Whenever you look at a web page you are going to port 80 on the server. If you block port 80 then you won't see web pages. I am assuming it's outgoing traffic to web servers you wish to block. A standard router will have incoming port 80 blocked by default. You would OPEN port 80 if you had a web server at home.

Linksys SRW2008 blocking ports

blocking ports and QoS is a layer 3 function, switches are layer 2 unless you buy a layer two switch. You will need to do this on your router.

Open port 80

To open a port on a router involves several steps.

1) Log into your router from your browser, this is generally at address 192.168.1.1

2) Type in your username and password (this varies from vendor to vendor)

3) Once logged in, go to the Advanced Tab, and then click on Gaming on the side menu.

4) Under the Add Game Rule, put the name, IP address can be left blank, and then set ports to open to 80.

5) Save changes.

The listen port is blocked for my bitcomet program, can anyone help me to unblock this listen port?

You will have to go into Windows firewall or your anti-virus firewall settings and open the port for the program. You can assign a port number for a specific program. You may also need to open the port on your router settings if it is blocking the port needed for the software.

How do i open port 9339

I supposed you are using Windows OS. Go to your Control Panel, Network Connections. Right click your Local Internet Connection and click properties. Click the Advanced tab. In the Windows Firewall, click settings button. Click Exeptions tab. Click the Add Port button. Type in the port name and the port no. you wished to add (9339). Then click OK.

Do I need to open ports?

There are no ports to open on the DCM425, as it's a cable modem, not a firewall. Earthlink/Time Warner will likely not be truthful when it comes to blocking ports on their end. Would it be possible to change the port that your PS2 is using?

Same goes for the bittorrent question, only I'd switch to uTorrent and different ports as well.
