how do you change language setting on a panasonic lumix DMC gf3 from japanese to english?

Go into the set-up menu (it has a wrench icon) and the next to last entry (it has an icon of a "face" trying to talk). One of the entries in that line will be "english".

Just go into the menu and scroll to language and select English.

Go into the setup section of the camera menu. You will find language options.

Here is a sanp shot from the manual, on page 25

Slide the [REC]/[PLAYBACK] switch to the REC position (camera icon). Set the mode dial to AUTO (green camera). Press MENU/SET to display the menu. Select LANGUAGE (head with speech bubble). Pick your language from there.
