Question about JVC AV-56WP74 56" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
Help I paid way too much for this set. I haven't been able to use it for over a year. I only had it for about 2 years before this happened. First my green light started sagging in the left corner, then the red light did tne same thing. can come one help me figure out what to do. I'm about ready to junk it and buy a flat screen but it's such a waste of money. Any one have a clue what I should do and how much it would cost to repair. Thanks.
Hello Sharmy, This sounds like a convergence correction amplifier problem, but I won't be able to tell unless I see a picture of the problem. If you can post a picture of the problem I can better tell you what is happening. If it is a convergence correction amplifier problem the parts (2 STK329-110 IC Modules) can be purchased for $5.99 each. The problem is the labor, or if the technician ops for replacing the convergence board instead of changing out the parts, This can make the cost go up to $500.00 for the board with the Integrated Circuits installed. If you have a background in electronics you can make the repairs yourself, however if you do not have a background in electronics I would suggest that you get the TV repaired at a qualified TV repair shop. I hope this helps, Thank you, Shuttle83
