No PTZ control when moniot is connected to CCTV camera

Absolutely... but only one way to find out (go commando).

I've got very impressed by a lady that was highly dissatisfied by the color presentation from her SWANN PTZ (smoked dome) many years ago...

Said she had attempted to work with TECHNICAL SUPPORT to adjust color but remained UNSATISFIED with the color...

She wrote on AMAZON... That she just went "COMMANDO"
and did it all herself and was really pleased with her results...
(Jealous... and still no idea what commando was).

Probably a decade later MY DARLING wife was trying to spin one of our cameras... and blacked out OUR front PTZ
(which has always had pretty drab color)...

Then the little darling WENT COMMANDO... (women are awesome smart)... Stepped into the set-up menu
mid set all the contrast, bright & colors... and tuned everything to exactly match the UN-SMOKED fixed focus cameras...

Long and the short of this STORY... I asked her how... she said one camera had a setting tab... the other had a gear-wheel. She clicked on that... and the rest was fined tuning CAMERA HISTORY.

Get into the settings of your "working" cameras...
Check out your settings (night & day)... THEN...
Takes notes and check out your "DARK" cameras.

If you cannot pull out a picture by re-setting these
basic camera settings: all to the mid-range... then tweeking the color settings until you are DELIGHTED with your picture

Take plenty of notes or scree shots to
TRACK YOUR CHANGES... If there is anything that is still working... this is the way to get them back.

Get yourself some NEW working cameras.

Good question. What camera? Most cameras cannot be modified. Some newer cameras are multiple protocols. Need more information.

It support all brand of CCTV.
for PTZ CCTV, It has to have the Pelco protocol so the WJ-HD716 can control the camera.
in that case, the connection will use the RS485.

is it a PTZ camera or Fix? how many cameras? You need to look at the type of capacity (MBPS) & (PPS) , minimum latency and Jitter your camera manufacturre is recommending. Not all wireless devices offer low latency, Low Jitter, High MBPS and PPS needed for higher end cameras.

Normal 0 Try disconnecting the Camera from the USB port and reinstall the CD or Downloaded software program. When the program asks you to connect the camera to the USB port, do so and it should work.
