When I turn ON my monitor I see the dispaly on it for a second and after that its just a black screen. I can see the dispaly again for a second if I again turn OFF and then ON my monitor. Can you please suggest me how can I solve this problem.
I've had a similar problem. I took apart the monitor (it was out of warranty by that time anyway) and found the lamps would not stay on. They'd flash for a split second before remaining unlit. I tried hooking up another LCD monitor's lamp to the Samsung, and even though I knew the other lamps worked fine, they exhibited the same behavior. Looks like something's wrong with the circuitry. The LCD actually does display the desktop on screen correctly. It's just the lamps refusing to stay on.

Re: SyncMaster 712N monitor problem
Start by checking all the connections.
Boot to safe mode and see if the problem persists.
Check your power saving parameters and see if the monitor turnoff is set too fast.
This could be a hardware problem also, especially the monitor or the graphics card.

The picture board on your monitor is bad, since it goes
off after few seconds and the power led or button is on, it means the
board of your monitor has developed fault.
The best thing for you
do now is to take the monitor to a local repairer or service center
within your vicinity
to help with the replacement of the picture board
because the fault is not something you can fix yourself, in order not to
Check whether the connector has been properly connected to the computer. Also try to boot the system with safe mode option and you are geeting display, then install the appropriate display drivers will solve your problem.
Also check the DPI setting configured in dispaly properties.
if you get black screen after windows logo then when you power up the cvomputer press F8 key then enter in enable vga mode then go to control panel ->dispaly -> settings then change screen resolution to 1024*768 then applly and ok then restart. But if not seen dispaly still then Refix your RAM memory.
I think you have the display shut off. the button on the bottom left will shut screen off. It will come on for a few seconds if you touch the screen, but will shut off again. just push the display button again and it should stay on.
Your first step in troubleshooting this problem is to plug in another monitor to your computer. If you are having the same problem it is related to your computer. If the second monitor works fine then your original monitor is shot.
How old is the computer? Make sure that the power light comes onto the monitor when you plug it in, should be orange and then turn green when video card syncs with it when PC is turned on. If you are getting black screen when PC is powered on:
1. Bad video card
2. Bad video cable
3. Bad monitor
1Solution: Try using a different monitor attached to this same PC and see if it works. If it does, then its the monitor, its cable, or its power supply. If it doesn't work, then its the video card or the video cable coming from monitor.
