Blurred and pink pictures

I have had my camera for four years and has worked great. The camera has always been taken care of and never has been dropped so why, now of a sudden all pictures are pink and blurred.

CCD sensor faulty ( it starts with 'noisy' picture and ends with no image whatsoever ). The sensor should be replaced free of charge since properly manufactured one should last you 15 + years.

    First only canon agent will be prepared to repair this free of charge. Second point out to them that you are aware that CCD sensor faults are being repaired free of charge.

Overall pink cast and pink stipe at top of all images taken.

Never had that camera, however, had the same problem -- the pink stripe and pink cast. Turns out the lens cover was slightly cracked and not opening and closing properly. Thus -- the pink cast.

I called them today. They were great on the phone. They emailed me a UPS shipping label and told me that there will be about a ten-day turn around to fix it and send it back.

Your Canon A80 has problem of defective CCD Imager Sensor and this part need to be replaced.
Good news is that Canon will replace CCD Imager free of cost as per announced free of cost repair scheme.

This is a manufacturing defect. Send the camera to canon repairing shop.The will do it free of cost.

Problems with LCD Screen

Defective ccd imager!! company will replace this ccd imager free of charge. Year 2002 up to 2005 released unit has a factry defect ccd imager. the company recalled these unit and replaced with a stronger version of ccd imager( they are still doing it). check it out.

try putting on the flash because whenever my flash is off the pictures are all blurred and with the flash it is clear! hope it works!!!
