My tool was working fine and all of a sudden quit turning. I have changed the batteries in both the remote and the unit. When I try to turn it, it will move a tiny bit and then quit. Any suggestions?

My tv suddenly quite working with the remote. I

Will the TV turn on using the power button on top of the TV itself? If not, open the back of the TV,and look at the can shaped items called capacitors on the circuit boards. If any of them have the tops,or bottoms bulged out, they need to be replaced. This should get it working again.I hope this helps. If you have any questions, please let me know.Thank You very much!

Trouble turning on the tv at times

The next time I try to turn the unit on the remote will not work or I can not turn the unit on with the switch on the side.
This statement leads me to believe the IR receiver and associated set-top button circuit may be at fault.
If you haven't hammered the set to pieces yet, try this; next time it fails to respond to the remote, put the remote in your freezer for 2-5 minutes (not longer, the batteries won't appreciate it) and then try it again.
If it then functions normally, then a certain integrated circuit (PT2222 or PT2221) may be from the same lot as mine and is abnormally sensitive to warmth. If this does make a difference, try removing the battery compartment cover and intentionally leave the remote face down.
If these tests don't seem to make any difference to the remote, then it is likely that the receiver end in the set is faulty.
