Hi Guys, Hoping you can help me out.
I've had my Fuji finpix 2800 for a few years now, however have not had a need to use it for the last few months.. I went to use it with my larger memory card and it's giving me an error 'card not initialized'
I checked my set up as some of the other post suggest for different models but don't seem to have the options in that menu to do anythign with the card.
I'm going away in a couple of days so if someone has a quick solution for me that'd be awesome as I'd love to take my camera with me.
Thanks..
Format the new memory card by your computer and then try it again in your camera. By the way did you tried to use the new memory card in other appropriate aplaince ?Format the new memory card by your computer and then try it again in your camera.

This post is 10 months old I hope you have solved the problem, if not what I first expect is the memory card is full and the camera has defaulted to internal memory and it is also full. I would suggest downloading your pictures to the computer
You dont need the fuji software to view or print. You can use a card reader to retrieve your pics to hard drive and use MS Picture viewer to print from OR get Adobe photoshop.
you can also contact Fujifilmusa com/support for replacement software.

Go to control panel click on Autoplay, camera is under devices probably says " take no action" with red sign.click on the bar and a drop down appears, click on import to windows or ask me first, click save and it should work fine. i uninstalled the fuji software,i assume it has issues with microsoft settings.
rdp19 did not mention the ERR msg. I had the same problem, however after messing with it the ERR message is up. If RDP19 gets this, did you get it fixed. Where and what cost?
Use a memory card in the camera, then use a generic USB memory card
reader to transfer your pictures off the memory card. Camera USB cord
drivers are always a pain to use.
software for 2800: go to fuji site for download.
also, you can remove the memory card and insert into a reader avail for about
$8.00. your computer should not need special software to read a memory card from
a reader. if your computer has a usb 2 port, use a usb 2 reader to save
time.
mark
yes it does
Thanks! It worked
