This disc wasn't burned successfully make sure you

Use ImgBurn. When burning data/music to disc. Choose 4x or lowers write speed. Faster write speeds have more chance of error. If you want the most accurate burn, I would suggest 2x. It may take a while but a chance of error is very low

I have always been using Nero burn software with my LG GSA-2166D DVD RW. Now I bought Nero Multimedia Suite 10. No any writing process has been successful. I have since yesterday spoiled 10 DVD's....

speed of source data is too slow = the hard disk cannot deliver the data fast enough and the burning process stops; this is a sign of a severely fragmented file system and very charged background processes: defragment your hard disk, stop using other programs when burning a disk and use 8X as a recording speed.
Track Following Error = the laser head in the burner is no longer capable of following the track it has itself burned - the lens is dirty, clean it.

I cant burn or play dvd

try to burn at a slower speed, turn off the screen saver and virus scanner? if these try to run while a burn is going it can cause an error, try to defrag the hardrive if needed before the burn, try another brand of media , check for software updates on the burning software

Factory default disc on acer 4520G

Hello,

If you have Nero of Power ISO installed you can right click the .iso file and there should be a command in the shortcut menu that states "burn with Nero" or burn iso with Power ISO, etc. this should apply to other disc burning software you have installed.

As you may know, .iso files are a compressed disc image file that contains the data layout for a complete CD or DVD. Most of the time, burning an iso image from first opening your disc burning software is more difficult but can be done by hunting through your software's menu commands.

Hope this has fixed ya!

Problem copying a movie onto a lightscribe hp dvd +r media disc, using my hp dvd940e dvd writer

The semaphore timeout period has expired refers to the fact that the driver is no longer communicating with the device and failed. Each time a CD Burner is setup for a CD Burning session the burner hardware will perform a 15 step power test to determine the OPC for a Blank Media Disc, OPC meaning Optimum Power Calibration. This test also takes place during the CD Burning process so the CD Burner can determine the best burn speed and method for the disc; this test is called 'Running Optimum Power Calibration'. Although the test is performed by the hardware of the CD Burner, the device initializes the CD Burning Software for the test to take place. This is one reason why your software may report the "Power Calibration Error" or ?Calibration Error Full?. With Power Calibration errors they can be caused by different factors and sometimes difficult to locate, especially if the errors are at random. Below are the known factors that will cause the Power Calibration Errors and how to check each factor, it is important that each point is considered if wanting to get to the bottom of the error. Power Calibration Errors can occur when OPC or ROPC tests for the media disc so the condition of the disc, brand of disc and even the firmware for the CD Burner can be the cause for the errors occurring. A device such as a CD Burners can have different problems if there is a power consumption issue with the system and the Power Calibration Error is just one of those problems. If using either an internal or external CD Burner make sure to disconnect all other devices, except the hard drive and Burner, before attempting to burn a disc. Double check all cables for any faults and if possible test with a 2nd Data Cable. It is also advisable to disconnect the power connection for the CD Burner and test with a spare connector. If you have no trouble with other discs, use them and put to one side the lightscribe, other than that try the burner in another pc or with other burning software, as you can see it's quite ridiculous what problems burners can create.
