Hi, The printer ran out of ink on yellow and magenta while still printing Black and white and Cyan. Now Black is OK and only Cyan is OK. I have run the cleaining cycle 20 times with no change. I have tried new full non-OEM replacement catridges which worked well before but no improvement. Can you tell me the best way to overcome this problem. Also advise if it is possible for the head to burn out beyond repair when there is a lack of ink. Thanks, Spots.
If you have really already run the cleaning cycle more than 20 times you should have get an error 46 which means that the printer cant clean anymore! So if not, use original brother inkcarts and do the the cleaning twice. If there is no block on the testsheet, the printhead is crashed. You cant fix it anymore.

Do use original brother ink to fix the problem: Do the cleaning twice (All colors and bk). You should see some blocks of the missing colors. If not printhead is damaged and cant be repaired (Dryed out or damaged valve or clogged with particles). If machine displays unable to clean, search googl for ERROR 46 (Reset and change of waist inktank)
