Lost key need to replace Ignition switch for 1998 Mitsubishi Montero sport

Disconnect the battery: Before beginning any work on the electrical system of your vehicle, disconnect the battery to prevent accidental shocks or short circuits.
Remove the steering column cover: The ignition switch is located on the steering column, so you'll need to remove the cover to access it. Depending on the exact model and trim level of your Montero Sport, the cover may be held in place with screws or clips.
Remove the ignition switch: Once you have access to the ignition switch, you'll need to remove it from the steering column. This may involve removing any retaining screws or clips that are holding it in place, as well as disconnecting any electrical connectors.
Install the new ignition switch: Install the new ignition switch in the reverse order of the previous steps, making sure that it is securely fastened to the steering column and that all electrical connections are properly connected.
Test the new ignition switch: Once the new ignition switch is installed, reconnect the battery and test the switch to make sure that it is working properly. Insert the new key and try to start the engine. If the engine starts and the key can be turned smoothly, you've successfully replaced the ignition switch.
It's worth noting that depending on the specific make and model of your Montero Sport, the exact steps for replacing the ignition switch may vary slightly

Need to know how to program new ignition switch & cylinder

At you year make and model the factory alarm was just the pellet that disabled starter, the alarm was part of the ignition switch if anything you will need to replace the aftermarket alarm. A repair will cost you more than to replace the unit,You will have to cancel the aftermarket alarm under the dash and restore the ignition wire that is spliced for the alarm relay.

I have power running to a 2 switch gangbox. Each

As long as the power is running from the breaker panel to the switches rather than the fixtures then it should be pretty simple.

1. Run a new 2 conductor wire from the existing box to the new box at the top of the stair.

2. Install a switch at the top of the stairs.

3. Disconnect the hot wire that is running to the two existing switches and connect it to one of the two conductors running to the top of the stairs.

4. Connect the remaining conductor on the wire going to the top of the stairs to the two existing switches.

Note that if you want to be able to use the Dimmer function from the top of the stairs this will be much more complicated. You will need to put two new switches at the top of the stairs, run more wire, the new switches will need to be 3 way dimmers and the existing switches will almost certainly need to be replaced as well. The wiring will also be much more complicated.

Stove top dual infinite switch

If the new switch is a substitute, should have come with instructions.
If no instructions, I would suggest matching the markings on the switch next to each terminal.eg, match terminal marking on old switch as L1 to marking on new switch as L1. The markings are industry standard and should match from old switch to new switch.

If you need further assistance, let me know
