You can go to best buy or a stereo shop they have wiring harnesses and fit kits for aftermarket CD player the wiring harness plugs into the stock wiring harness the u have to match the wires to the cd play

It is very simple actually. What you will need is a face plate, an aftermarket wire harness and the skills to connect this wire harness to the new CD player harness, they are usually color coded so very simple. TO remove you stock CD player you will need to pry off the plastic surround then there are 4, 7mm bolts that will need to be taken out and the stock CD player will pull out. Unclip the wire harness and antenna

My fault meant this as a solution post....

What do you need the diagram for? If your installing the radio, you do not need a diagram you need to go purchase the wiring harness for your make and model and year car. Match the colored wires together to the ones on the back of the head unit then connect them, then that harness plugs into your stock car harness that your stock radio unplugged from. You also probly need an antenna adapter cable that just connects to your stock antenna cable to add length and then plugs into your aftermarket radio. If you need a wiring diagram because you are trying to open you radio and fix it because it is broke or something...good luck to ya. Hope I helped... :)

If your installing a stock radio/cd player from another Dodge the wiring plug is the same and will fit.If your installing a aftermarket radio/cd player(JVC,Pioneer,etc)you will need to buy a adapter plug that wires up to the radio and is a direct fit to your factory wire harness,so your not cutting your wires.When you buy the adapter plug it comes with a wire diagram of which wire is what.Your aftermarket radio should have a diagram also,either on it or in the manual.Hope this helps you.

Why do you need to trace them? Is it a stock amp? If you know where the amp is....then tracing the wiring is a cinch....

The amp has to be powered, so there's most likely a power wire from your battery. If it's a stock amp, it's powered from behind your cd player. And be more specific, what speakers? There's like what, six?

They all go to one spot man, right behind the cd player.

What's spiking? The sound? As in it's loud, quiet, loud, quiet, loud? You might have a bad ground somewhere, so check grounds. Those are easy to find, behind the deck the ground is black. If it's an aftermarket amp, then the ground is going to be close by to it. It's most likely screwed to the steel part of your car.

It could be your deck to, it might have just got randomly defective. You do have a 96 after all.

If it's an aftermarket cd player...check your wiring harness. You have to cut the wires from the car to tie them into the harness for your cd player, so jiggle those around to see if you can hear a difference.
