This an overload situation probably from a failed transformer or a fault in the control board or magnatron Have an appliance electrician check it out .

There might be a problem with door switch for your microwave to be turning off after 3 seconds and the door switch will need replacement on your microwave.
I would say your cooling ran is not running, or your vent holes are blocked, or (if equipped) a filter is blocked.
Without the cooling fan, the magnetron overheats and its TCO (thermostat) shuts down all power to the oven until it cools back down to a safe temperature, then power is restored.

Mine burned out within a month. Probably due to the poor design of the machine which forces you to slam the door to get it to shut.
My biggest concern is the under counter lightbulbs it has burned out in my kitchen over the last year. I wonder how much leaking this thing really gives off. Moving in a few weeks and will be throwing this cancer machine out.

It seems that your unit has some sort of PSU fault, or a problem that is shutting down the Power Supply Unit, (PSU). Either this or the magnetron is failing. This "Shutdown" happens so that no further damage, and possible fire will occur.
You need to take the unit to a reputable service centre/man and ask for a firm "Quote" for the work to be done. It is that sound that gives it away, this is a typical switchmode Power Supply problem.
Some appliances do not work well when used on a gfci protected circuits. Move the microwave to an outlet that is not reqiured to be gfci protected and it should work fine . If you do not have a dedicated outlet for your microwave , it is a good idea to install one , or have an electrician install one for you.
probably the door is misaligned.. try nudging the door up or down / left or right or any possible wiggle combination in the closed position and see if the light doesn't go off.. if it is the door...not sure how to fix it.
The magnatron (heating element) is located in the cavity behind the control. If it's leaking microwaves onto the electronics, this will occur. This means the Mag should be replaced and a radiation test run on unit.
