Your having driver issue's sound and Network drivers either corrupt driver missing.

Google hp's site and then look for the tap/link that says SUPPORT or download drivers once you're on their site. Then you'll need to put in which hp pavillion you have and operating system. That should take you to another page where all the drivers are including your ethernet driver.
It is always best to go directly to the manufacturer's site for drivers and match the specific model and OS.
use your motherboard cd.... if you have.. then try installed your drivers...... .. or there so other possiblities your cmos setup is back to factory settings.... check it.. try to configure onboard devices configuration..then enable onboard devices
