I have a unit worked great for over a year but now it won't collect dust particles anylonger. I did all the cleaning as needed but still don't work.
I even used a can of air as they suggested and still doen't work.
I remember it was making a buzzing sound right before it stopped working. Mayby someone knows what to do. Thanks for your response.
I had the same problem and could not find an answer anywhere. So here's what I figured out. The small wires running from top to bottom just inside the cover are your problem. Not the metal grid with plates that you can remove. The buzzing sound you heard is the resistance one or more of the wires is causing. The resisitance tells the pc board that your grid must be wet and therefore the unit goes into drying mode. I replaced my small wires and my unit is working better than ever. The wire is .005 diameter( important so that you keep the same resistance flowing to the pc board) and can be purchased at any good suppy house. I have since repaired another unit with an even simplier fix. I took the unit into a dark room and then turned it on. Watching the grid I could see the wire arching that was causing the resistance. Unplugged the unit, turned it over and with a flat head screw driver pushed the wire off its base connedtion. Turned the unit right side up and removed the wire from its top support. The unit works fine without the troubled wire. Hope this helps.
