Older passive computer speakers do not need a power supply.
Modern active speakers might use batteries but mostly need a power supply that plugs into the mains power outlet and provides the right voltage, current and polarity the speakers need.

Some low-powered active speakers simply plug into the computer usb.

The speakers require the AC adapter to be connected for the speakers to function. The AC adapter powers the amplifier of the speakers

Try connecting the speakers to a different computer, to see if the speakers work at all.

It's 100% "normal" for the speakers to *NOT* be "detected" by the computer -- the speakers simply are _NOT_ a "plug-and-play" device; there are just "dumb" electro-mechanical units.


There _never_ is a need for a "disk" for speakers;
you never need instructions on how to use a pencil, either. :-)

Unfortunately, this monitor does not come out with integrated speakers, thus you need to get additional speakers if you need some sound.

After a quick look it seems that this monitor does not have built in speakers and you will need separate speakers.

i don't believe you need a disk to install the speakers. speakers are a plug-and-play device, and all you need is a surround sound capable audio driver and software. color coding is as follows; black to blue, green to green, yellow to pink

You don't need drivers of any kind for your speakers. You only need drivers for your independant sound card or for the sound card on your motherboard to be able to get sound from your pc through your speakers. Check your sound card setup.

No, you dont need Led lights for the speakers to work.

You do not need a "Driver" for your speakers. You may however need a driver for your sound card in your computer. For your speakers to work you need only to plug them up.

shouldn't need it for speakers. you do however need one for the sound card on your computer. if the speakers were an upgrade and you know the sound card works... check that it is plugged into the proper hole at the back of the computer and that there is power to the speakers.
