Screen goes blank after 5-6 minutes but sound continues
When i started playing a movie, the
pictures and sounds come out excellently. then around 5-6 minutes
later, the pictures started to flicker. the color then become lighter
or washed out. then no picture is seen anymore. and yet, the sounds

Unless you have good / fast access to the Internet (or wireless or 4G network), it may take a long time to download a movie to your device. If the speed of download is slower than the speed of the play, the picture freezes ... essentially, it is waiting for the completion of the download for the next few frames (of the movie). That is why the picture freeze .... and it will start again after sufficient data has been download to continue / start playing (the movie) again.
I can't answer the first part of the question, but the DVD going blocky and jumping sounds like fingermarks or muck on the disc. It could be that when you handle the DVD your finger leaves a mark near the outside edge of the DVD. In future wipe the DVD with a glasses cloth, then handle by the very edge only.
hi i have a 51 reg daewoo matiz and i have noticed a noise appearing for a few minutes when driving a around 30 to 40 mph then it stops then starts agin a few minutes later ,it sounds like its coming from some where behind the speedometer ,it sounds like a dry spinning noise and i did notice the speedo needle flickering but it orso made the noise when starting from cold
If your receiver is still under warranty (2 years) send it to a Yamaha auth service center for upgrade/repair and it will be done for free. If it's beyond warranty, bypass HDMI in the receiver all together and use HDMI from source to TV only and coaxial digital or optical to your receiver for audio. If you want further info on HDMI issues; Google "HDMI forums" and you will find more info than you can digest in a year!. Hope this helps
