Can Not remove print cartridge from PSC1610

I inadvertantly put a black cartridge in the spot for the color cartridge and now can not remove it. Any help would be appreciated. It is an HP PSC1610 All-in-One Printer and hooked up to a Dell desktop computer running Win XP. Have tried to remove several times but did not want to use too much force for fear of damaging cartridge or print heads.

My printer keeps saying "print head is not installed. Install the print head." I only purchased black ink this time and I put it inside but it still says that there is no ink. Do I have to buy the colour...

Hello, Jordanreinha -

You will need to install a color cartridge, too.

Oddly enough, with color printers, both the black and color ink/s are used to print black. Go figure?

Best wishes.
tip

The green light is blinking constantly and the printer won't print

When the green lamp constantly blinking this mean one or both print head are defective. Here we can find which cartridge is defective.Open cover put out color cartridge then close cover. If blinking stops replace color cartridge. If blinking continues put out black cartridge and put in color. If blinking stops replace black cartridge, if not stop replace both cartridges.
This printer can work with only one cartridge. If you don't use color printing just remove the color cartridge.

I put the cartride in the wrong spot how do i get it out.

Hi there,

Wait until the print carriage is idle and silent, and then lightly press down on a print cartridge to release it.
If you are replacing the tri-color print cartridge, remove the print cartridge from the slot on the left.
If you are replacing the black or photo print cartridge, remove the print cartridge from the slot on the right.

Pull the print cartridge toward you out of its slot.
If you are removing the black print cartridge in order to install the photo print cartridge, store the black print cartridge in the print cartridge protector

Canon Multipass F30 not printing

Did you remove the tab that covers the cartridge head where the ink comes out, if the drivers and software that you loaded on your pc work
good and your printer shows under device MGR, then it is the printer
itself,,most times you can not see how much ink in the cart,,,most are sealed,,,just try to put the cart in again and make sure it is locked in good,,try running the cleaning program with pc,,make sure the right
cart is in the right spot, bl in one spot and color in a spot.

Spots/Lines on the prints

Take out the drum cartridge (piece with the long green arm) and look down inside the printer for any toner that may be leaking on your pages.

So I understand correctly, you were seeing different color toner on the cyan and yellow rollers?. If so gently clean that side of the roller off. Rotate the white gear on the right side of the toner cartridge back towards you and see if the correct color comes back on the roller. If you were seeing grooves on the roller then they will have to be replaced.

Put the toner cartridges back in and run color calibration.
Press menu/select. Right arrow key until you get to engine. Press select. Left arrow key until you get to service.
Press select. Right arrow key until you get to color calibration.
Press select.

Any other information would be helpful.

Dell A940 Color Ink Problem

Do check the option and make sure that you have not inadvertently set it to black only- This could be computer wise or on the A940 panel. If you are sure all is well here Remove the scanner software and reinstall. Email Dell to See what they have to say
