Computer cannot communicate with printer

I have changed ports, unpluged and repluged the power and the printer cord.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the prograge and still get the same error message

Either port or driver problem. you may have to make adjustments in BIOS under peripheral devices. default is auto, change to assign manually and assign a port for com 1, com 2, printer.
reboot
right click MY COMPUTER, PROPERTIES, HARDWARE, DEVICE MANAGER; scroll down to com 1 and com 2 ports (above printer port) make sure no yellow explanation marks which indicate a port conflict. NO PRINTER WILL PRINT.
go to mfr website and download driver for your printer
click MY COMPUTER, PROPERTIES, HARDWARE, DEVICE MGR;
scroll down to printer port; right click; PROPERTIES, click on change driver; browse over to where you download drivers; keep going down the tree until you get to DRIVERS (select the folder with your operating system) click on it to OPEN into dialogue box (in change driver wizard which is open) and hit enter; THE WIZARD WILL INSTALL THE CORRECT DRIVER FOR YOUR PRINTER.

Try to unplug the printer from your computer. Then unplug and replug the printer into the power source to reset it. When your printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer. Doing this usually fixes minor communication issues. If this does not help, you could try uninstall and reinstall the software.

My computer is'nt comunication with the printer

It could be just a slight communication issue. Try to unplug your printer from your computer. Then unplug the printer from the power source. Replug after 10 seconds. When the printer turns on, replug it into your computer. Doing this usually fixes minor communication issues. Cannot print

first do a power drain .. ie; unplug the power and usb and the power cord from the printer , then restart the computer..

After the computer restarts , replug the printer .. now check if it is printing..

Please check the priner icon as well .. check if it is Online or having any error .. (this is to be checked in the computer) .

if the printer icon is fine and shows ready .. then right click on the printer icon and go to properties .. now, click on Ports and see if it is assigned to the correct port..

Now, if that is also correct, then do a Level 2 uninstall, restart the computer and then reinstall the printer.

Computer won't communicate with printer

Make sure that the printer driver you are using is compatible with your version of windows. If so, open all printers in "control panel" and make sure that this printer is the preferred printer and not an old one you might still have installed.

What you will see A"No communication" dialog appears when you try to print or scan. What to do Make sure the correct port is selected in the Properties screen. To do this:
    1. Go to Start, Settings, Control Panel.
    2. Double-click on the Printers folder.
    3. Right-click on the printer icon and select Properties.
    4. In the Properties screen, click the Port tab.
    5. Ensure that the printer port is set to one of the USB port options; see below.

    6. Select the port and click OK.
    7. You may need to reboot the PC for the change to take effect.
NOTE: The printer icon may not be displaying in the notification area (the "systray"). Once the port is correctly selected, the icon should appear there.

Printer comminication/Driver install

First of all, since its a USB printer, chk if the computer prompts " New Hardware found " ( am assuming you are using Win XP ).

Since you said computer will not communicate with printer, you have to make sure you have the CD that came along with the printer , installed in your computer

Let me know what you see.

Scanner component stopped communicating
