Wrong drivers or not compatable it sound like. Did you install with mac disc. Check. If not the issue,Go to manufacturers web site, and look for driver downoad area. See if you can download a more updated driver that may be compatable with your mac. Good luck. Most printers come with a windows disc and a mac disk.

How can I boost up mac mini 2007

Your best bet beyond maxing out memory will be upgrading to an SSD. Depending on your operating system and versions of installed software, try using a program like XSlimmer to remove any powerpc files included in universal bundles.

I have a new MacBook Pro and cannot get my Brother printer to work with it. The computer recognizes the printer but does not print.

Hi,
Did you install the Mac driver for MFC? The MFC comes with driver for windows and Mac. Place the Mac Driver disk to DVD slot and run the installation for your MFC printer. Follow the instruction to complete the installation.
When you try to print something, make sure the MFC printer is selected.
If you've done all of this and still not able to print, please turn off your MFC, wait 15 seconds and turn on again to see problem solve or not.
Hope this will help. Thanks for reading.

Brother 420CN printer will not print black ink. Have replaced the cartridge and after several cleaning cycles, it still will not print properly. Test Print shows colors are fine but black ink is hit and...

I have a brother MFC 3240C. My Black ink stopped printing(initially printed horizontal faded lines and gradually got worse), the other colors were printing fine. I tried cleaning numerous time( 50 -100 times over 1-2 weeks ). Still no improvement. The way I print now is:
1. I go to Printer Properties
2. Change Media type from "Plain Paper" to "Inkjet Paper".
3. Change Quality to "Photo".

This takes a long time to print 1-2 minutes per page. However, this works for me since this is my Home printer and use it for printing only few pages here are there.

Good Luck

My brother mfc 420cn printer quit printing...

I'd venture to say that if you haven't used it in a while the ink dried up and clogged the print head. It is probably a job for a service center. Good luck
