Acer aspire 690 will not turn on had it for 1 1/2. can it be a p

My desktop will not turn on the nmonitor is the only thing i see that the light turns on. I checked to see if it was a problem with the outlets changed it to another outlet still desktop does not turn on. It does not even make a sound. No light no sounds of electrical life. Please Help.

    Found the problem it was a change of power cable. Thank U for your help

    Unable to boot up hard drive, new hard drive no help. Power supply ok, Old drive got very slow for a couple of days and then quit.

Do you use small AVR? Small AVR can choke the unit of power supply. Or check first the back of your power supply if it has a power switch being turn off.

Next in line to be check. Power supply, start up button, then RAM, video card, PCI card. Isolate the problem one at a time until you get the fault.

Desktop will not turn on

Can you hear if the HDD are running, or powering up (most hdds have a sound like a tourbo charger kicking as on a big rig when they are trying to pass you on the interstate or similar sound) LOL (getting carried away with my discriptions again) But do list to see if you hear them powering up. Please post back

1. Go to http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
2. Download the latest version driver, extract to flash disk.
3. Connect your flash disk when windows said that driver is missing (before enter vista serial
number) and browse to "IDE/WinVista/sataraid" windows will choose the driver that it need,
install it
4. The process will continue as usual....
