The rear door latch that releases the rear window so I can open the rear door appears to be a white plastic part that looks ragged and almost shredded. The lock is stiff, but it appears to be the latch, not the lock. Does anyone know the name of this latch? Is it expensive and/or hard to fix?
Drive to a junk yard ask the sales man is it possible that they may have one if not can they go on their phone and ask other junk yard if they have one and if they do how much is it.[ reminder ] the junk yards have 2 prices if you take out the lock your self you pay less if some one from the junk yard takes it out for you
you pay more.

To start, the noun "''rear latch switch'' is incorrect. It's actually called "Slide Door Lock". It's located on page BO-20 of the Toyota Repair Manual for the 2001 Sienna. There are two door locks on one sliding door. One in the front and one in the rear. Obviously, you want the one in the rear. The location for the "Slide Door Lock" (which also contains an electric switch) is in the rear of the sliding door located mid way up door. You can see (sliding door opened from the back) it without dissembling the door. And, the lock is made up of plastic (dirty white in color).
