Phillips se455 cordless phone isnt ringing through and the ringer isnt shut off and its not a problem with my service

i have had the same phone and it also did the same thing to me its in your speaker inside phone theres a short in speaker wire there isnt no way of fixing it only if you want to take it apart and play around with the speaker wires.

It's probably the volume. Find the volume control and turn it up. To test, just call yourself from that phone. It will ring and give a message telling you that you were called by your own phone. Just hang up after answering.

Perhaps the ringer is shut off. The adjustment on mine is right on the upper front of the phone.

Does your handset have a PROG button? Press that, then press the VOL+ button until you come to RINGER VOL: OFF. Press SELECT button, then use the ^ (VOL+) key until you get the desired volume level. Press SELECT again, then OFF. You're good to go.

Hit the up or down arrow keys several times. (either key will work) and the ringer will rotate through Ringer off - Ringer low - Ringer high... one set will be a steady ring, the other set will be a warble ring. This works on the phone made for RadioShack with 5.8 GHz on the front and Cat. No. 43-155 under the battery in the battery compartment.

Go to HS Settings > Call Blocker > OFF

While the phone is not in use, press the up arrow until you get the ringer volume you want.

The simple answer is: while you are not using the phone, press the up or down volume button and it should turn the ringer back on. To turn the ringer back off, press and hold the down volume button until you hear two beeps. You can adjust the volume while the phone is ringing. The manual will tell you how to change your ringer tones, etc.
