Question about Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) Console

1 Answer

I got a PSP as a present

The warranty on it from Best Buy is under somebody else's name. I came to Massachusetts and unpacked and come to realize that the PSP won't turn on. I switch it on and the green light will stay on for maybe 4-5 seconds and blink a couple times. Then it will shut off. The screen stays off and nothing will happen . Even with a game in there it will not do anything. HELP

Bricked psp 3001

I'm pretty sure if you brick a PSP 3001, it stays bricked. I've heard that maybe, just maybe, hooking it up to the charger with the battery removed might magically fix it, but I'm doubtful.

If it's under warranty you should be able to send it back to Sony for no charge. They'll either fix it or send you a replacement.

If it's not under warranty, you can try to to buy and install a replacement motherboard (this apparently fixes it). Although it might be cheaper to just buy a used PSP, or an opportunity to buy a DS.

MY PSP doesn't show that a umd is presently installed.

This happened to me as well. I sent my device into sony (under warranty) and they fixed it for no charge. If you have no warranty you can take it to gamestop or eb games and they might fix it for a charge.

Used Dell M1330 sold to me as a new computor

Hi there!
Check first if the computer is under your name or under best buy, if it is under your name and you have a warranty the definitely DELL should help you,
But if it is under best buy, then best buy should be able to help you with your problem, as long as you have the warranty with the computer.

Hope this helps!

Missing ISO folder

The thing is, the ISO folder doesn't come with your PSP Memory Stick. However, the best solution would be to make the folder! Just keep in mind that the name of the folder have to be in all CAPITAL letters. The ISO folder goes in the root of your memory stick.

PSP Slim - Broken Screen ?

Its the LED on the psp that is broken. The LED is the inside screen that brings the picture up onto it like an LED flatscreen tv.

It wont be covered under your sony warranty because your warranty covers you for electrical faults not accidental.

You could contact sony to see if they would fix it for a charge but to be honest the money you'd spend fixing it, you might aswell just buy a new psp

Greetings psphelp1464,

If the screen is cracked, then it would not be covered under the warranty and they would be unable to exchange. If the screen is just defective and not cracked, then we should be able to do an exchange. Unfortunately it would require an entire new PSP because this is the procedure followed when a unit is exchanged. If you have any data on your present unit, I would recommend removing it before the exchange so you do not lose any data.

I hope this helps!

PSP doesn't read any games...

make sure the case around the game is not broken. if it is not, go to best buy and ask them to see your UMD slot. If you have a warranty, use that .ask the best buy from where you got it from if you have a warranty. if you dont ,ask them if you could get one. then, tell them what happend and you will surely get a new one.
