Picture is too big for screen

Have a Sony Vega 32" flat screen picture seems as though it does not fit screen seems too large have Direct tv

    same issue with my sylvania 26 in lcd was fine for the longest time, now the picture is too big for screen.

    the picture is too big for the screen. the picture on the screen is cut off around the edges and cannot see news ticker that is suppose appear on the bottom of the screen.

Go into the setup menu of the TV, and you'll find a category called DISPLAY or ZOOM. That's where you can change the aspect ratio so that it fits on the screen. You'll probably get a gray band on the top and bottom of the screen due to the re-sizing.

Picture doesn't fit the screen

Its a function of the source and the tv picture settings. Go to the source (direct tv, cable, co-ax?) menu , settings and look for screen display sizes.
Your remote has a red dot "wide" button which will also have a screen size effect. You can cycle through the formats
For further info why not read/print out the manual?

Sounds as though your screen is in zoom mode. Have a look on the remote for an option button like "aspect" or 16:9/4:3

select the correct scart socket used go though the av channels until you find the correct input[scart]

On the neck of the picture tube you will see the large yoke. Loosen the srew slightly and just rotate the yoke assembly very little counterclockwise. That should correct your problem.
