When i charge the mp3, can i play music?

Short story: can i charge my mp3 and listen to it at the same time?

Longer story:

While I charge the mp3 player it is impossible to play music so if i were to use it in my car, i would have to change the mode on my cd player to USB mode and have silence a few hours while it charges before i can use it again. is there a solution?

How do you charge the delstar ds 821, & down load music?

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet toyour computer and then copy them to your MP3 player. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs tomp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and thencopy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable tothe MP3 player and the computer.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.Click on this link for instruction on converting musicfiles to mp3 file format :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r5798418-creating_transferring_mp3_music_files

I listen to the music for 1 hour. I turn the lock switch off. The next day the Go gear MP3 has completely discharged. I re charge it on the pc. The screen reads 'Fully charged'. The same thing...

There are two things possible.
1) You have defective re chargeable batteries in your GoGear.
2) There is some short circuit because of which the re chargeable cells are discharging.
Either way you should get the system changed. If you want to confirm if its the battery defect or GoGear. Charge the system fully and play music continuously. If the Go Gear plays for about 4 hours with out break---- its not the battery but the charging system.

Can you keep player plugged into usb charger while playing music files indefinatly or will it over charge and possibly cause damage? im shopping around and am not even shure it will play while pluged in to...

You can keep the Sansa plugged in without fear of overcharging. The Sansa will play while it is connected to a USB port that is supplying only power, such as a USB charger operating off a car cigarette lighter. It will not play while connected to a computer.

My mp3 won't play music charge or anything

you can try this, on the back of the unit theres 4 very small phillips head screws, if you take them out you can remove the battery and then put it back in and see what happens, if the conditions still the same you can purchase a new one on Amazon for short money, it comes in a kit with new screws and a little screwdriver.

I KNOW I can charge my MP3 player and listen to it at the same time, but I don't know how.

Disabled it under device manager! So that it still draws power from the USB port without attempting to pair with the computer.

Fully charged and Not doing anything?

Press and hold [A>B/o] and [power/play/pause] buttons for four or so seconds. A screen pops up and like press the center, silver ['ok'] button about four times as a password or something. Doing this process wont delete your files or mess around with your settings.

Wont regonize music

Reason could be because if you are no longer an "active' customer, the mp3 player can't go out and download the "permissions/rights" needed to play the song. As opposed to the songs you rip because you are using the cd for that, which means the songs are yours. At least thats my opinion.

I cannot charge it (USB car charger) and listen to the music at the same time

don't think it's possible. -when you charge and play via your laptop, the player is acting as a USB key and the laptop is doing the playing. -when you charge it via your in-car port you do not have a 2nd device on which to play tunes. it's either charge or play i'm afraid
