Hi, I have security cameras at home I just want to know how to apply for rooter so that I can view them even if iam away.

You already have an internet connection. More than likely you have a modem with a built in 4 port router. Plug a Network cable into the back of the router and also into the Security Camera DVR. Go to the settings in the Security DVR and choose network. Log into the modem/router and set up a port forward to the ip address you found in the security DVR network section. Download the Security Camera App from your telephone hardware provider. Load your remote ip addess (found by searching from your computer attached to your network at home using whatismyip4.host) port, user name and password into the app and you should be online to your cameras on your phone.

I cannot access my internet viewer

More details are required.
The Samsung 'SmartViewer' program starts up on a computer. You can access it whether you have a recorder or not.
The Samsung 4 channel DVR has a menu to set IP address & ports to use and a netjack to connect to internet. You can access the DVR from any computer connected to the same router as the DVR by inserting the same correct info into 'SmartViewer' as in the the DVR.
Once you open the required ports in your router, port forward the router to the DVR, any incoming requests from the internet to view should connect and with the correct password you can view your security cams.
With minor adjustments..that's it.
What didn't you do?

How do i view my security system on line using my apple laptop system is sde 4001

You won't be able to access the system from a different network without changing some settings in the router. You will need to find out what ports the security system uses. If you bring up a web page to monitor/configure the system, then you'll most likely use port 80 (HTTP) or port 443 (HTTPS). If you see "www.something.com:3948", the port is the number after the colon.

You will need to go into the router and enable port forwarding to the IP address of the security system.

How do I turn off wireless security?

  • Disable the fire wall by logging in to the administration interface of your router and looking for a firewall section. The administration interfaces differ depending on the manufacturer and model, so your wireless router might not have a firewall section. If it does, click on that section and turn off the firewall.

  • 2

Forward a port. If the firewall is preventing an external computer from connecting to your internal client, you will need to forward a port to your client.

  • 3

    Find your internal IP address.

  • 4

Click on "Start -> Run..." and enter "cmd" into the box. When the command-line pops up, enter "ipconfig" and hit "Enter." Find your IP address in the statistics that are printed out.

  • 5

Refer to your software's documentation to find which port number must be forwarded.

  • 6

Log in to your router's administration interface.

  • 7

Click on "Port Forwarding" or an equivalently named section. The name of the section will differ depending on your router's manufacturer and model.

  • 8

Add, on the correct port, a forward to your IP address. You will have to update this port forward in the future if your IP address changes. If your IP address changes often, ask your network administrator for a static IP address

    Follow The Process:-
    1.Visit https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports
input the port 5000 and check is it open or not, if it is not open it means you need to check port forwarding in your main internet router/modem.

    Cannot view local webserver

go to http://www.whatismyip.com/ and then have them type in that ip address. if you have had them typing in your internal ip address that will not work. Try the ip that that website tells you is yours. Also do you have it forward port 80 to your computer? also you should set up DHCP reservations for the server. Hope that that helped.

    Port forwarding

    hi there,
this is a basic step used to forward ports to your system.
Port Forwarding Steps for Routers 1. Log into your router. Usually the URL is http://192.168.1.1/, and enter the username , and the password . If you have never set a password, the password (which you should change) is admin. Consult the manual if you have never set up your router before or need to reset the password. 2. Click on the "Applications & Gaming" tab or Under Advanced, click Port Forwarding.
    3. Click on the "Port Range Forward" tab .
    4. In the "application" field, type "web" (if you are forwarding wb traffic on port 80) or "torrent" (if you are forwarding bittorrent traffic on port 40156). This is just a "nickname" so that you can recognize what you were trying to do when you come back to it.
    5. In the "Start" field, enter: 80
    6. In the "End" field, also enter: 80
    7. Set "Protocol" to TCP. Web and Bittorrent servers use only TCP, so there's no reason fo forward UDP traffic too and create an unnecessary security risk.
    8. In the "IP Address" field, enter: 192.168.1.11 or your system IP address.
    9. Click "Save Settings." Forwarding should begin immediately.
