Refrigrator we had a power outtage and now the dispensing (water and ice) portion of the refrigrator not working. any suggestions

I understand your Frigidaire refrigerator is not making ice and not dispensing water. I suggest starting by changing the water filter in your refrigerator. You should be changing the water filter about every 6-8 months. If this does not work, I also suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Restore power and try getting water out of the dispenser. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. I had the same issue. I added a heater element (available on Amazon), replaced the flapper valve and the solenoid to ope the flapper valve. My opinion (not technically validated) was that the flapper valve (for the ice dispenser) was not sealing well so the ice chute was freezing (creating a lot of ice) and this the water tuning was also freezing.

More than likely the user interface board that controls that portion of the machine is probably bad, or, worse case scenario the main control board which has the overall say so for the machine has gone out which isn't uncommon either. My best advice is if your going to do it yourself buy your parts from www.repairclinic.com because of their return policy which you can return any part you bought even if installed/

Since you did not provide a model number this is the best guess. On 25 Cu Ft and above models no matter the manufacturer most of the filters are in the left portion of the grille at floor level. You turn the tab and the filter pops free. If yours is not in this are just respond here with a model number and I will help you.

Install the water line heater to the dispenser , part number WR49X10173 . This comes with installation instructions .

hello mam please check the compressor and call the engineer to check the refrigrant of the fridge.

it seems to me (no expert) that you have an ice buildup in the tubing to the freezing portion of that unit. I can only suggest to turn off the Refrigerator for a little while, an hour or two at most, and see if the tubing thaws.
