My sidekick 2 has a white screen and just keeps vibrating everytime i try to charge it, can someone help me

Hi. Just try pressing the power button and reset button at the same time. Unit will vibrate when reset. You can use a paper clip or similiar to hit the reset button located behind the screen. After that, plug your device to charger for at least a couple of hours. Hope this helps.

If you tried reseating the lcd flex cable and it didn't help then you best option is to replace the lcd screen assembly.

It is really easy to do and they run about 25 dollars on ebay.

This is a problem most likely with the actual connection to the screen. that's why it is just showing all white, I have seen this before. Only way to have it fixed is to have it serviced. Go to your local provider's store and inquire there about service. If you need further assistance let me know.

this is a very simple solution if someone hasn't told you the answer yet.... just hold your sidekick right side up then flip it as if you were putting it on a table and then there will be a button with 2 arrows and then 1 with what looks as a dot hold in the button with the do until you see the screen start to light up

you need to get a new battery.

So if the sidekick has suffered a drop or some other type of trauma, the cable for the lcd screen can come loose causing a white screen. Try the following guide to repair a white screen:

If it doesn't work, you can replace the Sidekick 3 screen assembly fairly easily. A new LCD assembly runs about 30 dollars from ebay. Here is a guide for that:

You may be able to fix many of those things yourself. The trackball proabaly just needs to be clean. Does the LCD have a white screen when it is on? The Camera, well that may take some work.

To clean your track ball, follow these instructions:

1: Take a deep breath and blow on the trackball area, rotate and do it again. This may blow any particles block the sensors.
2: This requires a Q-tip and some alcohol. Turn off your sidekick, wet the end of the q-tip, and gently clean the trackball while rotating. Be careful not to get the alcohol on anything but the trackball. Let dry for a minute and try it out. If this doesn’t work then try again.

yep, you can do a master reset.

Want to clear out info on your Sidekick info (ie: to sell yours)?

1) Remove your sim card
2) From the jump screen: Menu -> Settings -> System Info
3) Press Menu+Shift+X Select OK to clear the flash.
4) Press Menu+Shift+R Select OK to clear the login information.
5) Perform a hard reset now. This will reboot the device.
To perform a hard reset:

SK2 - Press the power button and reset button at the same time. Unit will vibrate when reset. You can use a paper clip or similiar to hit the reset button located behind the screen.

6) Call your carrier and ask them to detach your device IMEI from the username locked in. Once that is done, hard reset without your SIM card inserted.
