Card Pictures will not print

When I print, only the text shows up, no color picture/background.

This is for Hallmark Card Studio Express 2.0 that came with my Lexmark printer.

Yes it does. Its just with this program that it isn't working.

Does the printer print in color with other applications - like MS applications, i.e. Word, Powerpoint?

Change the Printer's Spool Settings.

  • Go to START - SETTINGS - PRINTERS.

  • Right Click on the PRINTER and choose PROPERTIES.

  • Under Printer Properties, select the DETAILS tab and click on the SPOOL SETTINGS button.

  • Change "SPOOL DATA FORMAT" from EMF to RAW (it may already be on this setting.)

  • Click on PRINT DIRECTLY TO PRINTER. Then click on OK.

  • Now Select the GRAPHICS or COLOR tab. If there is an option for RASTER mode, select this mode. Then lower the DPI setting and click on OK.

  • Also, make sure that the Print Mode is set to NORMAL and not Best.

  • Close the Printer Properties window by clicking on OK.

    3. Now set the printer as a default Printer. Right click on the PRINTER icon in the Printers Window and select "SET AS DEFAULT" to place a check mark by this option.

Please try printing and let me know if that fixes it.

My desktop picture is not coming up on my computer monitor

    1. Open Desktop Background by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, clicking Personalization, and then clicking Desktop Background.

    2. Click the picture or color you want for your desktop background.

If the picture you want to use is not in the list of desktop background pictures, click the Picture location down arrow to view other categories, or click Browse to search for the picture on your computer. When you find the picture you want, double-click it. It will become your desktop background and appear in the list of desktop backgrounds.

Try a free solution. Go to Google, click on more or search for Picassa. Download and install it. It has wonderful tools for editing pictures including rotating, flipping, straightening and adding text. Try it, you may like it.

Printing text but not colour graphics

First try printing in another program. (something that has color in it) If you can print color in another program then the problem is Hallmark. If you still cannot then your probably out of color ink or it dried up.

    Hope this helps.

    Printer malfunction

    2 possible soultions,

    1. The color required to print the text ( ie: black or a variation of ) may have run out and needs to be refilled or replaced.

    2. The other way that could help, is to select only the text you wish to print, by highlighting the entire text of the email, and then press and hold Ctrl while you press P to bring up printing shortcut menu and then check the "Print selected only" before attempting to print.

This should give you only the selected text, but if your black or the color required to print is empty, it may appear blank on the page, or show a low ink error.
